    And "pass interference" doesn't actually interfere with the pass. It should be called "receiver interference".

    And they don't actually "toss" the coin; they flip it. So every time they say a team won the toss, what they really mean is that team won the "flip".

    We have to get these things right if we want football to be taken seriously.

    No QB or Les time management issues to complain about. Defense playing better. Life is good as a Tiger Fan if we all we have to worry about is how the announcers tell us about first downs.

    But are they really announcers or are the commentators? I want to make sure we get it right and there is no confusion.

    Shouldn't it also be "man illegally downfield" instead of "illegal man downfield"

    If it's an oblate ellipsoid how can it also be a pig skin? Or am I just confused? Or am I just having another senior moment? $hit, what am I doing in this thread?
