As I watch this team progress I keep asking myself "Is this the most talented team, top to bottom, I've ever seen at LSU?". Personally I think the answer is yes, and the scary part is they are YOUNG.

    Your thoughts?

Last year we lost a Nevis, PP7, Sheppard, Graft, Eugene, Murphy, Ridley, Jasper, Toliver, Helton and Pep. An still looks to be god this year and years to come. This staff recruits as well as any in the nation. We are still young, do a great job of mixing in the TF and RSF. Many games this year we had 3-4 backups on the OL. This team is building depth, long overdue.

Nah, its our depth that makes this team stand out. There seems to be no drop off at all when we go to our second and third teamers.

Offensively, we are as good as the '03 BCSNC team, but 9 of the 11 defensive starters on that team went to the NFL (and 6; Marcus Spears, Kyle Williams, Eric Alexander, Corey Webster, Travis Daniels and Laron Landry, are still there).

I think we're as good defensively as the '06 Sugar Bowl champs, but don't think the offense compares to Russell, Williams, Scott, Hester, Holliday, Bowe, Davis, Doucet and LaFell.

I may feel differently by the end of the season.

They can certainly be, yes. But "most talented" doesn't get you "most accomplished". That part is decided after the season's over.

If they don't win a :crystal:, they'll be 2nd fiddle to our '03 and '07 teams by nature.

Not sure what you meant by that. One personified hard-work and the "underdog" and the other is in the NFL.
