You took what I would have said. I was having this very conversation with my friend the other day. We were talking about, suuuure the Raiders problems were mainly J Russell, just look at how great they all of the sudden look. This is not to say that he wasn't a big contributor to their failures. This conversation lead into how much of a bust he is, but that USC QB's are the real bust. With so many of them being Heisman winners or candidates, being so highly touted entering the NFL, but very few of them pan out. Carson is the only good QB to come out of USC in recent history, and he ain't nothin compared to what he is supposed to be. Then again there are a lot of the highly touted QB's that haven't turned out to be what they were hyped to be. Some of the better QB's in the NFL come from the smaller programs that aren't high profile. For the record some of the best QB's in the NFL all have something in common, they come from the South. Go figure.
Carson is solid, agree that he has potential to be better. He has done well because he takes the game seriously and isn't a prima donna like the rest of the QB's that come from USC. But he said this about Ohio State which makes him cool in my book: "I cannot stand the Buckeyes. It's amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and Tressel and all the crap I gotta put up with being back there."
Yeah, Carson Palmer's best days ended about 4 years ago. If he can't produce this year with what he has to work with, he is done. Ryan seems to have hit his ceiling already, and that isn't good news for the Falcons moving forward. Sanchez appears to be total junk.
