    I would agree with Mobius.

How can you discredit 25 straight national championships at the collegiate level?

Had it been 12 or 13 NCs, then I would say 11 in track is more impressive.

By the same token, the 10 championships by UCLA I would put comfortably ahead of the 11 track championships.

Just consider the fact that no one can even win 2 back to back anymore.

I liek this one. Absolutely incredible when especially when you think about the wind and temperatures early in the season.
    They bought those.

Only LSU streaks can be determined "Most Impressive" because we are just better than everyone else.

Could we please add this to the TF User Agreement?

In Div 1 history, the only team that did better than LSU women outdoor track's streak of 11 back to back national championships (1987-1997) was Arkansas men indoor track with 12 back to back national championships (1984-1985).

LSU womens outdoor track also added national championships in 2000 and 2003, giving them a total of 13 during a span of 17 years.

As for Arkansas men indoor track, they had 16 national championships in 17 years (1984 to 2000), and they added three more in 2003, 2005, and 2006 -- for a total of 19 during a span of 23 years

As for UNC womens soccer, they only won 9 back to back national championships (1986-1994) -- however they did win 19 championships in their history, all of which were over a 26 year span between 1981 and 2006.

As for UCLA mens basketball, they only won 7 back to back national championships (1967-1973) -- however they did win 10 championships during a 12 year span between 1964 and 1975.

I lived next door to a guy named Tucker Barr in Georgia. He thought the 18 runs LSU scored in 1 inning was a pretty impressive streak. I guess being the GA Tech catcher who counted em off will do that to you.

The LSU record for the best winning streak during home games at Tiger Stadium was the 19-game streak between the home loss to Tennessee in 2005 (the second game during the Miles era) and the home loss to Arkansas in 2007 (the third-to-last game during the Miles era so far). That streak was one of the insane accomplishments of the Les Miles era. The next three best home winning streaks in LSU history were 17, 15 and 14, all accomplished back before 1974.

I remember it being pumped like we hadn't beat Alabama at home since man landed on the moon (1969, Neil Armstrong). Between our home victory against Bama in 1969 and the one in 2000, we never beat Bama in Tiger Stadium, and yes, that was for 30 years. During that time, we had 7 road wins against Bama. Good news is we have currently beat Bama for 5 straight, and 7 of the last 8 (they crushed us 31-0 in Tiger Stadium in 2002 under Saban).

Active winning streaks vs. football opponents:

21 -- ULL (they have never beaten us, we shut them out 16 times out of 21, the other 5 times they scored only 3, 3, 3, 6, and 7 against us).

    16 -- Tulane (our best was 17 between 1956 and 1972)

14 -- Louisiana Tech (they only beat us 0-6 in 1904, we have shut them out 9 times out of 15, the other times we beat them, they only scored 2, 6, 7, 7, 10, and 10 against us).

    8 -- Miss State (our best was 10 between 1964 and 1973)
    6 -- Ole Miss (our best was 8 between 1928 and 1936)
5 -- Bama (our best so far against Bama -- series started in 1902)
    5 -- Vanderbilt (our best was 6 between 1938 and 1947)
4 -- Georgia Tech (our best so far against GT)
    3 -- South Carolina (our best was 12 between 1931 and 1987)
    1 -- Florida (our best was 4 between 1977 and 1980)
    1 -- Auburn (our best was 6 between 1926 and 1937)
    0 -- Georgia (our best was 7 between 1928 and 1945)
    0 -- Arkansas (our best was 7 between 1930 and 1936)
    0 -- Kentucky (our best was 13 between 1961 and 1973)
