Brings to mind Ricky Blanton's clutch shot in the NCAA Regional finals that beat Kentucky 59-57 to secure a trip to the Final Four. It was a great moment in Tiger lore.
Easy for me. I was at the 2003 BCSNCG and it was one of the greatest moments of my life. My first year at LSU (81), we won 3 games, and I was a huge fan then! It was a dream that I did not dare believe in, and it came true!
For me it was the TD from Flynn to Byrd at the end of the Auburn game. The Earthquake Game is right there too. Warren Morris HR in the CWS was another great Tiger moment.
The Flynn TD pass vs. Auburn. Hester's heroics vs. Florida. Was in absolute disbelief. Zenon's pick-six vs. Tennessee in the SECCG. (Wasn't it Zenon?) Damn, that was a good year.
that too. i think i was hyperventilating the whole second half of that game! we were there and i think greenie was in awe of just how rockin' ts could be!
I've been in Tiger Stadium for a lot of big games the last 30 years, but this one was the loudest I've ever heard it. I couldn't hear my brother in law standing next to me, my ears actually hurt.
Just watching Emily Turner pitch...man do I miss that. I was standing with KrystalLSU (before she and tirk's engagement). I wonder what happened to that foo, I miss her. She made some killer jello shots.
Tirk's engagament. Ha! As if! In person, it would be the Earthquake Game. But I, too, never knew if I'd see an LSU NC in football, so 2003 was a dream. A dream made possible by another of my exhilarating moments--the pass from Mauck to Skyler Green to win the first UGA game that year. I loved Skyler so much that my younger daughter is named...Skylar. That Warren Morris homerun is hard to beat, but how about rallying in the bottom of the ninth in the semi-finals of the '93 CWS to make it into the final game the next day against Wichita State.
It was just as electric at home in front of the tube. What a game!!! Hester and Eric Martin are my type of players. Humble hard workers. :miles:
