Sports Illustrated: "it’s difficult for those around college football to know exactly what to make of Mettenberger. The 6-foot-5 senior was regularly inconsistent, with happy feet in the pocket and a tendency to overthrow receivers.
    ...
Les East of the Baton Rouge Advocate said: "LSU is counting on Mettenberger to be more accurate and more consistent this season. He’s attempting to be more assertive as a leader, something he was learning on the job as a first-year starter last season."

If Coach Cam is unsuccessful with Mett that will make it since Ryan Perrilloux, Matt Flynn 2007 that LSU has enjoyed the services of good QB's.

Guess you didn't pay attention to the services of Jarrett Lee in 2011. Not to worry though, this isn't Notre Lame... our QBs have the chest to compete and overall get shit done.

After watching this morning I would love nothing more than to go undefeated and meet Clemson in the title game to erase that fluke from last season...

No shit, they are acting like they won a national championship by beating a team with 11 underclassmen that had their foot out of the door and really didn't care to be there. I mean credit Clemson for winning but no one was excited to be in Atlanta except them.

Haha. No worries, man. My forum name is also part of my last name. But I share your sentiments regarding Herbstreit.

Just try pronouncing my forum name with the 'H' silent...maybe that will help?

Okay Abe. About Herbstreet, he actually has a good grasp of the game and is accurate in his analysis, but all of that is meaningless since he is such a whore to ESPN and their agenda. It's sickening.

His last name is He-R-bert. Hence the screen name Herb...so it's 'Erb. Leaving the "R" out of Herbert is like leaving the "R" out of shirt...:D
