    Easy.

    And it's not even close.

    Bo Rein's plane crash.

For me it was the week after my favorite moment. We beat the #1 gators in 97(?) to get spanked the next week in an 11am game by Ole Piss. We were on such a high after the Florida win and then Deuce ran for about 1,200 yards on us. Plus it was about 92 degrees out. That day sucked.

For me, it's usually changes every other year...after our visit to War Memorial Stadium! That place is a house of horrors for LSU football! Can't we play at Fayetteville?!?!

    December 1st, 1973. 14 to Zip
We had owned the state for a quarter century.
We assumed that would never change.

I say Zip because I lived in New Orleans then and I had a friend that used to love to say 14 to Zip. No teams, just "14 to Zip", years later it still would grind my ass to the bone. Even the '81 game when they killed us 48 to 7 doesn't compare to the shock value of loosing for the first time in 24 years.

And they really rubbed it in for years.

I couldn't leave my apartment the next day and face people.

    Losing to Bama in '71...'72...'73...74... 75...and '76...AND '77, '78, 79, '80, and '81.

I was beginning to wonder if I'd get to see us beat them before I got out of high school- luckily we beat them the year before I graduated.

Personally for me, it was the 2008 LSU-Alabama game. It was Saban's first return to Tiger Stadium as Bama coach and they were #1. I had tickets in the student section AND it was my birthday (Nov. 8). We had just blocked the chip shot FG from Bama as time expired and the crowd went absolutely beserk. Everyone who had a drink threw it in the air and everyone who didn't, found a drink and threw it in the air. But then Jarrett Lee blows it in OT and I go to celebrate a depressing birthday. It was perfectly set up for us to beat #1 Bama (and send Saban home a loser) in the biggest game I had been to, and on my birthday...but it got taken away. That was painful.

The never called before and never called since penalty that gave Auburn a second shot at a point after.
