That's my point precisely. If we are objecting to proximity to the WTC being off limits to the perpetrators of 9/11, I think there is a case. But we must distinguish between the Al Qaeda goons who did that and all the other rags in the world. How are we going to keep muslim cab drivers out of lower Manhattan?
I don't think there should be people shouting Allah Akbar within hearing distance of Ground Zero where many victims remain entombed. I don't care if its al qaeda or 7/11 clerks doing the shouting.
That is exactly what terrorists want. They want to rob us of the very liberties that make this country great.
It's not an issue of liberty. I view it the same as the crazies protesting soldiers' funerals. It's just not right. There are plenty of places in NYC to build a new mosque.

yeah i don't agree with you much but i do here. There are plenty of places to build a mosque, other than Ground Zero and surrounding area. While they have the right to do so, i don't think it is the right thing to do, it doesn't make the right statement in my opinion, it seems more like a nanny nanny boo boo move to me. What i don't understand is why the Towers haven't been rebuilt yet.
