I'm not the one forgetting it. I'm the one saying that is the main reason we lost the game. LSU gave up 500 yards and 44 points, there's no avoiding it and they need to be accountable for it. If our defense just gets one stop in the 4th quarter, we're singing a different tune.

There were plenty of opportunities in the 4th to change the momentum and UGA did that and won. But if you wanna dwell on a turnover in the 3rd quarter...

Did we forget Freak got an INT that gave LSU an easy TD?

Or how about the UGA score with 12 seconds to go before the half?

Or what about the entirety of the game?

The game is much bigger than 1 guy or 1 play fellas.

    I consider myself a realist.

But yeah I would rather surround myself with optimists vs pessimists anyday.

again it wasn't just a turnover. it was a muffed punt by a guy who catches kickoffs one handed without looking. it's like if a 5 star chef serves you a plate of food with roach on it. It was one of what, 3 times the defense held all game?

The muff was unfortunate, but the defense takes the hit for that loss, first and foremost.

And we can't even project a win even if the muff doesn't occur. How does LSU handle having a lead and the ball later in the game? Do we get conservative? Do we play not to lose and hand the ball back over to Georgia for one last game winning drive? It could have played out like that very easily.

And we can also complain about the O-line falling apart on the last drive attempt by LSU. If they protect Mettenberger, he is the hero and LSU wins 48-44. Georgia would not have been able to stop him.

There's your problem and reason we lost the game.

That's what I'm saying. We had a whole nother quarter of football to be played where either team could have changed the momentum. The UGA D stepped up on the last drive and they won. Had LSU's D done the same we would have won.

It's like an team going for 2 points in the 2nd quarter of a game. How in the heck do you go for 2 when you have no idea how the game is going to play out? You might need that extra point if you fail on the 2 pt conversion. But coaches stupidly do it.

So Mike Smith goes for a TD on 4th and goal last night at the end of the half and ends up losing by 3. He isn't a goat for that?

You can't tell me that you thought our defense was going to have any success against Georgia. It was a given that Georgia was gonna light up the scoreboard. The D stops them and Odell on his own all by himself basically took the football and ran in his own endzone and handed Georgia 7 points. How many did we lose by again?

I love OBJ, but I completely agree with this. In a 3 point loss on the road, we can absolutely point to one play being the difference.

And it isn't the first time...remember his fumble after a huge completion in Florida last year?
