After watching the replay I am even more pissed than I was Saturday afternoon. It was all coaching!. Nothing different than last if fact less creative than last year. No on field adjustments, no change of QB'S, no option plays , no read options, no backfield with Fournette and Guice, no 4-5 WR sets and on and on and on and a partridge in a pear tree. I now totally convinced Miles is incapable of changing and must Go! Do I believe everything I just Said? CERTAINLY
It wasn't all coaching as Harris was off on many of his throws, there was a lot of pressure as the o-line was garbage. But yeah, the coaches are responsible in the end. Agreed. Adjustments were made in the second half. It was why they were able to run the ball more effectively. In the first half they ignored the back side D end and several times he ran down the line and made tackles from behind, also they could not block Watt with one guy. In the second they motioned a receiver, usually Dural, in tight and he blocked down on the backside D-end. Fournette had a few nice runs with that adjustment. They also started double teaming Watt, which worked about half the time. That dude is beastly like his brother. Agreed. Maybe should have been. Harris missed a lot of throws. Some early with a clean pocket were high. Later he had a lot of pressure and never looked comfortable. They had an entire series in the third quarter with three receivers and one tight end using the read option. Harris always handed it off though and there were at least two plays where he probably could have picked up big chunks if he kept it. Only once on the play that Guice fumbled on the third or fourth series. Les has never done this and likely never will so it shouldn't surprise anyone at this point. Once again, agreed! Not to nitpick but they did mix in a lot of the things that you say they didn't.
Yeah you can fault Miles and company for not being able to run an offense, but Harris has to make those throws he missed. The offense is still gonna stink if he does, but damn dude at least do what you can do.
Why isn't Harris a better QB by Now? If he is not a good QB than why did we recruit him? If he is a good QB why hasn't he been developed and playing better? Why is he Starting if he is not developed? Why did we sign Jennings and is he worst than Harris? Why don't we have a quality backup QB? If we have a quality backup QB why isn't he Playing? Just some questions I have been asking myself.
Is there any difference between JJ. JJ 2.0 and now Harris? Why do they all look the same. Oh yea. miles.
