I have to agree with the thought. Everyone acts like this is some revolutionary cut that was made, when the truth of the matter is we accumulated almost twice as much debt as they cut, in the weeks they sat there arguing about it. Not to mention, they raise spending to record levels, then make a cut that amounts to pennies and claim it's a huge cut. Unfortunately, these figures are like football statistics; they can be manipulated to say just about anything and people will believe it.
