Yeah, but they're biding their time, waiting for the oppurtunity.

See Jimmy Ott as an example

I really don't understand why there has to be two camps. Those that rip a coach no matter what and those that defend a coach at all cost. When Miles does something good I will praise him. If he screws up, I'll call him out.

Right now he has done very little that I take issue with so I have very little negative to say.

To me this is just a no brainer. It works like this in all jobs and positions in life.

Why anyone would wait around for something to go wrong just so they could rip on the coach is stupid to me. But equally stupid is defending someone that is making millions to screw up. It's not black or white folks, very little is.

Come on meow, dont spin it like that. I have nothing against nor was I talking about people without degrees. It was just an easier way of explaining the people in the state of Alabama. I just mentioned degrees because it covered a larger scale when looking at earning potential. Absolutely didnt imply, and obviously doesnt mean one without a degree cant be successful.

:hihi: Maybe that is why I had no idea what the school's name in Lafayette was my first twp years at LSU. Depending on where you are from in Louisiana you call it a different name so I thought there were about 10 more schools in the area then there really were.

Blount County is a nice area with good bass fishing. Is Cullman in Blount? Maybe it is farther north.

Whoa! We're both taking each other the wrong way here. I was simply taking a cheap shot at the fact that...most of the Bama fans that think Les Miles is an idiot are not Bama grads...and just thought it weird that...in the context of Bama fans...you chose to use the term "Bama GRADS". I didn't think you were dissing people without degrees. I fully realize...and have no complex about the fact that I make fully 3 times what my Master's Degree educated wife makes. I'm OK with it, really. She makes pretty babies, I make more money.:thumb:

And to those Bama fans lurking, read the whole thread, and you'll see that I also included LSU fans...in fact, fans of ANY major program...as having many fans that are generally very vocal...yet have no degree from said school...or even ANY history with the actual school. I won't go so far as to say LSU has as many trailer dwelling fans, though.:hihi:

It is obvious that Moon quit thinking long before he quit writing.

Lot of ways to measure a coach.

I have seen Les Miles teams dominate.

I have seen Les Miles teams scramble to win.

I have seen Les Miles teams lose.

I have never seen a Les Miles team quit.

I know what you're talking about, but I'm not exactly sure either. I know it had something to do with letting the clock run out on the goal line without getting a play off.

    I totally agree with that.

Caddy, the reason I mentioned it is that these comments came after games LSU won. It's almost as if the team was winning despite the coaching, which I have a hard time believing. For example, after the AU game, I got lots of comments about how lucky Miles was. Really? He took one shot at the end zone when he had the chance, and it worked. The only reason it was close to being a problem was that the QB took too long to get the play off. Yet Miles gets the criticism. Now part of this is because Miles looked confused in the post game interview. Guess what: the info-babe asked him what he was thinking during the last timeout. Miles was confused, because he didn't call a timeout, so he was more aware of what happened than the info-babe. But it just didn't "look" good for him to be confused.

(OBTW, if you have that game saved on TiVo and have high-def, wind to about 20 seconds left in the game--you can clearly see Tuberville saying "I'm not going to call timeout" to the coaches in the booth. Priceless!)

I got the same comments after the Alabama game, and you should have heard all the references to "I'm the HEAD Coach" after the Arkansas game.

I am glad that some AU fans coming around to think that Miles is better than they originally thought. And to be fair, AMAB fans are generally more condescending about it (go figure). But if LSU loses some close games this year (a distinct possibility with an inexperienced QB) , you can bet that the Miles detractors of all stripes will be gloating.
