Cancel culture: Colin Kaepernick takes a knee to protest police brutality, wingnuts applaud when trump screams "get that son of a bitch off the field!", and an NFL executive later admits that Kaepernick was ousted from the league for his protests.
CK was Aaron Brooks 15 years later. Had success when no one knew anything about him, but once teams figured out how to keep him in the pocket, his weaknesses were exposed. Like AB, CK's career came to a grinding halt because he really wasn't a very good QB. Certainly the kneeling made him even more of an undesirable option, but don't forget, the league set up a session for him to show off his goods about 2 years later. 25 teams sent scouts, but CK was a no show.
