Amen, brother. Along with tasty bbq half a million sows can create an awful lot of energy. Instead of focusing on corn we should learn to harness ALL the energy around us.
it has been a terrible investment. our corn subsid has damaged us immensely, in a multitude of ways. it has hurt our wallets and our health, as well as the wallets and health of millions of people around the world.
i agree with your point but i would happily challenge you to a blind taste test, which you would fail. a universal truth of humanity is that people claim to be able to taste things they cannot.
While I don't disagree with your generalization, it doesn't mean that people necessarily cannot taste differences between things. Go try a Mexican coke. You'll feel differently.
I tried one. Not only did it taste better but it made me cut my grass and wash my house. Plus, I now hate Arizona.
people love to claim to be able to claim enormous taste differences between things. i have noticed this and been part of many blind taste tests, all of which everyone fails. if i give you a coke, and suggest to you that is a mexican coke, you will report that it tastes better. without prejudged biases almost nobody can tell.
Reminds me of a joke I once heard about this old coonass learning of the government paying hog farmers to "not" raise hogs. He had no hogs, wanted to get paid for "not" raising them so got in and said he thought he'd start off slow and "not raise" 1000. Comparable to "Set aside" programs for rice farmers. They get $$ for "setting aside" a percent of their allotment. Not sure if it's still practiced though.
Mexican Coke is of a different consistency than the HFC stuff. That is the give away. I would say there is a noticeable difference in taste as well.
Is that the same guy that asked the chicken farmer how much for eggs? The farmer said "$1.00 per dozen, 50 cents if they're cracked." The old boy said "Crack me a couple dozen"?
