Even though they won the NC this past year, they still need to prove to me that their offense is capable of winning in dominant fashion against SEC defenses. Check their stats again, and you'll see that their offense averaged about 24-26 points (if memory serves me right) while their defense was responsible for scoring a good portion of TD's as well and needed some magic from their defense to beat South Carolina by blocking those kicks. If not for their defense, Florida could have easily lost 2 games last season. Florida has to replace almost everyone on defense for '07. Plus, Tebow has got to prove he's capable of being effective over the course of an entire game--and season as a QB in the passing game, too.
wonder whats up with USC not letting Jaime Hollard get a release if he wants to go to Florida when they were the ones who dismissed him. Its not fair that a coach can leave at any time but a player has to sit out a year and thats if the school releases him.
Moody probably made a good decision, but we'll see... This may help our chances with Scott, but I don't think UF was our main competition for him anyway.
I'll tell you why. First, Jamere was released because he'd been talking to another team about transferring AND assisting Moody in talking to that same team............hmm, wonder who that team could have been? Jamere's HS coach was hired by Urban over the spring. I'd say that if it smells like fish, it's freakin' fish. Jamere had a problem showing up to practice, team meetings, rehab, and did the same as a member of the track team. He is speedy but lacks discipline. Jamere is in control of his future, I just hope he understands that he has to lay in the bed he's made.
