I just finished listening to a week of talk radio here in Los Angeles where everyone was predicting how high USC would run up the score --- even with their second and third teams in. Most thought that it was imperative that the Trojans put up big numbers given the weakness of the Pac10. Actually, the best quote came from Coach Carol after the game when he said, “I’m sure glad we don’t have to play any of the WAC teams.” Anyway, let’s not get caught up in tooting our own horn too loud and forget that MS gave Auburn everything that they could handle.
Picking scores equals bad karma for me. Offensive player of the game: Scott, with honorable mention to Lee, who continues to improve. Defensive player of the game: Francois--because I'm assuming MSU will try to run, and he'll make sure they can't. Honorable mention to Alem (I see him coming on as a beast, along with his brother, Chad Jones.)
