Lobbying with AD's is nothing new. Remember him leaving with Skip the night before SECCG to lobby for the Cotton Bowl?
well we weren't expecting 3rd grade double talk straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon and we expected him to apologize on the spot after the game, not 24 hours later. he's like a 10 year old who realizes that he's been caught in a lie and finally fesses up once again, Miles throws his players under the bus and when he's had time to think about it, he realizes just how stupid he sounds stupid is as stupid does and Miles is doing stupid quite well
Wouldn't be the first time. In fact here's a thread from after the Tennessee game in 05: OC's and DC's come and go but two things remain constant: 1/ The problems continue 2/ The coordinators get the blame and meat head gets another coordinator. >Miles and Pellini need to quit blaming the players - TigerFan.com<
:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: He took it Saturday night, just on behalf of the coaching staff. But he did take personal responsibility too the other night. Some just didn't have a want to hear it.
Ya' see, ya probably shouldn't have dredged this one up. This was stated over 5 years ago, and since that time, Miles hasn't lost the team, and has won the west, the SECCG, and the BCSNCG. But I know why you did.
Difference being this time a team meeting was called. Lucky the meeting feel through...they ran out of time.
Honestly I couldn't give less of a damn whether he apologized quick enough, or in just the right way. I don't care about that. What I care about is when you say you're going to fix the problems, then FIX THE DAMN PROBLEMS. I don't care about lip service, or who gets thrown under what bus, or who takes responsibility, whether it's full responsibility or putting some blame on the assistant coaches, who cares? Les and his staff have real, concrete, identifiable, fundamental problems that need major fixing, and fast. Don't just say you're going to do it, DO it.
Trying to read his convoluted garbage reminds me of the convoluted way our offense performs each and every Saturday. Indeed, our offense is a perfect reflection of Less Miles' convoluted personality.
