Is it time for the NFL to rethink this whole pass interference thing? Granted, it was a legit call, but the fact the Vikings did not earn their way into that field position completely ticks me off. I don't this is talked about enough. How can a judgement call by an official be determined as a spot of the foul penalty, thus giving a team who just heaves the ball 50 yards downfield hoping for something a shot to win the game. 15 yard penalty. If the Vikings continue to move the ball after that, so be it.
So the Saints managed to mismanage another one. Why oh why do I get excited every year????? You know who I feel most sorry for?? Reggie Bush; he couldn't do it all..... I believe in the curse!!
Earlier in the game a Vikings' defender deflected a pass in the end zone but never looked back at the ball. Sometimes you'll see them throw the flag and other times you won't. Unfortunately they didn't throw it for us. I think the play in the NFL has left the officiating in the dust. There's a lot of improvement to be made but if you mention it, you get a hefty fine.
I dont really think we need replay for judgment calls but this is a play where it might be needed. For example, the rule also exists because a defender can dive and take out a WR if he is beat, so its really not fair to only give them 15 yards when they would have scored.
1. Grammatica needs to be gone by start of business tomorrow. 2. Kevin Kasvaharn or whatever, needs to be fired by the end of the week. 3. Whoever decided to change the offensive play calling in the 2nd half needs to go. 4. Offensive line coach needs to be told to get the line in shape or he is gone too. this was embarassing.
just curious, but who do you consider to be a loser? No one on the offense, I am assuming... So then it's the secondary, right? Gay has a handfull of rings. David has a ring. Is it Gramatica? He has a ring. I mean, I have been outspoken about how Mr. Benson has no desire to win . . . at all... And I believe that. But that is also my opinion 365 days out of the year. I guess my problem is how you're chirping about how the Saints are "we", when they're winning earlier in this game (and this thread). But then bitching about how hard it is to watch them and how they're a bunch of losers when they're losing. Pick a side of the fence and stay on it, man.
the team had more 2nd half points than 1st half points. Granted, I know it was because of 2 punt returns. But my point is that when you only have 4 possessions. 1 started inside your own 5-yard line, one was disrupted by a fumble and the other two led to FG tries, it's not the end of the world. We have no way of knowing how those 2 possessions lost by the Bush returns would have played out. But I mean, as a whole, they were driving in three of their 4 possessions in the 2nd half. Two of them just ended poorly (fumble and missed FG).
