Coach Moffitt was on Hultburg's show this morning. He said that while we're a little ahead in the strength aspect, we're about 15% behind where we were last year at this time as far as conditioning.

He also said that conditioning was the more critical of the two.

I hope the Tigers aren't getting to comfortable since winning the NC. I remember after the 2003 NC, Saban being upset with the team's conditioning.

Complacency is a potential issue, but if Moffit is aware of it and bothers to call them out on the radio, you can bet they will be getting into shape shortly. Any rivals banking on the Tigers being on fumes in the fourth quarter will probably be disappointed.

Anybody remember a place kicker or punter that committed to LSU in Les Miles' first full class (06) and then decommitted and signed on with the Miami Canes? He said he signed on with Miami to stay close to home.

I talked to this guy at my gym and he told me how great Coach Miles was and that to this day he still follows Coach Moffit's strength and conditioning routine. He said hands down this guy is the best. He also said he regrets not keeping his committment to LSU, saying he would have a ring right now.

Moffitt is a fabulous coach. And also a fabulous dude.

I did a story about nutrition one time and I emailed him for a time to call him.

He emailed me back 1:10 and said he could only talk for 15 mins or so.

90 mins later, I had all that I needed. Dude doesn't stop talking. :)

I guess it's my fault team is behind schedule. hahah

    go for it. :)

If you, can't take some heat, then I need to move to Alaska.

nah. the conditioning is a non-issue. The team just has a lot more underclassman contributors this fall so they sag behind last year's team of nothing but 3 and 4 year Moffitt guys.

Matt Bosher was Miami's only kicker in the '06 class.

He was Miami's first commit though, and was never an LSU commit. Maybe a walk-on?

I don't think we give out our S&C program until prospects sign their LOI's...
