the news keeps getting better for chevis. mr. jackson if you're nasty.

    • LSU CB Chevis Jackson continues to impress. He is consistently in the hip pocket of the South wide receivers, and he has a thicker body with good strength to battle through the routes or to come up and play the run. Jackson is aggressive and will hit. Even Avery, possibly the fastest prospect in the 2008 class, was not able to escape Jackson today. These Senior Bowl practices have been great for Jackson's stock.

If Chevis ran a 4.4 forty he would be a top 15 pick. Obviously, by the reports, he will land in the middle of the pack most likely to a cover-two team and make someone happy.

I know he has run low 4.4's in pro days, if he can do that he will make bank.

i think he's been a favorite of ours for quite some time. But you dated him or something in high school so your opinion is somewhat biased.

seriously though, if he can run a 4.4x the saints can get him in the 2nd or 3rd rd if they dont get jenkins. hell they should get both if they can. I have been thinking chevis gets a bad rap due to his supposed speed since his coverage skills are as good as anyone to make up for it.

who gives a crap what he times in as long as its not obscenely slow. his recovery skills are excellent and proven against the top teams in the country.

its not like hes colt brennan or something (dude weighed in at 185). good luck with that.

I watched the practice today and all they talked about was how Chevis ran a 4.6 40 and it did not matter. He did stay stride for stride with Avery and he is very quick. He also handled DJ Hall all day. If he can get that time down some he will rocket up the draft board.

Doucet played some today and he has already caught the attention of the NFL coaches. It wont hurt him much that he doesnt play since the practices are weighed more heavily than the actual game. I would guess the coaches told him he has already proven himself and go get ready for the combine.

Ali excelled in the 7 on 7 drill when he was in coverage against the RBs and TEs.

Hester looked great with the ball today and they threw many short passes his way.

Steltz just needs to get ready for the combine.

twas a joke about the bias. though not the dating/sleeping with him part.

cant be any worse than cincinatti. plus its indoors.

agree. the system will never change but it leaves room for the football guys like belichick and parcells to dominate the draft much the way jimmy johnson did.

so I cant say payton due to that meachem pick?:lol:
