it isnt terrifically insulting or belittling to say that someone is unable to kick for a top 5 team. this is true about basically everyone. we, as a culture, might consider that being honest is not really a bad thing. again, when a news story reports that she is trying to make the team, that isnt really true. she is trying to generate media attention. there is no reason that saying that is mean or whatever. again, for the millionth time, she is a lovely and beautiful girl.
What's the rule on scholarships here? I thought there was a rule that, if a player is a dual sport athlete and one was football, it cost a football scholarship no mater what. This is to keep schools from giving kids say a track scholarship, saying the are dual sport athlete and letting them play football. I can't see Miles burning a scholarships on her.
On the 2011 LSU roster, I counted about 118 names, 15 with no numbers assigned. Some are juniors and seniors whose names have never been called-- because they are on the team, but never play--walk-ons, etc. Look over the roster--- if some of these names are on there, why not Mo Isom's? She would be a member of team as same as they, even without seeing the field once---and, she might have more chance of playing (maybe) than most of those others. Probably more ability at the kicker's position than most of them, at theirs.
why not just put a bag of cheetos on the team. the bag of cheetos wouldnt require much, and are even useful for mid-game snacking.
