ok, fine i will tell the actual answer. i know this isnt the right forum for it and i wont discuss it anymore, but i like to help out.

men vary from the norm more. there are more men at IQ 125 and iq 75. so even though they average out roughly the same, there are more super genius men (and super dumbasses as well.)

brain scientists say men have "more dumbbells, and more nobels"

anyways, this explain why the truly elite intellectual levels of anything are dominated by mostly men. also you can just simply look at evolution. a smarter man is more likely to procreate and attract a mate. but a dumb women still gets banged, because we men dont care. we saw a hot chick and we are already smitten. (this is because men can make a new child every day and spread their DNA whereas women are limited to roughly one kid a year and have to be selective. ) so there is no real evolutionary advantage for a smart women. their advantage lies in hotness.

so that is why men dominate intellectual pursuits. more really smart people are men.

none of what i said is really disputable, but you can bring it to free speech alley if you want.

 

i actually can. i have huge legs and massive strong calves. i played soccer for many many years and now i run marathons. my calves are so large that i can flex them into various positions, which i have given nicknames, and this amuses my friends greatly.

also you dont need a tremendous amount of leg power if you catch it just right. its hard to catch it perfectly though, so leg power helps.

i would argue that almost anyone that is reasonably athletic can kick a 50 yarder, given enough tries, as it is mostly a matter of catching the sweet spot with a nice snappy kick. its sort like anyone can drive a golf ball 300 yards with a big lucky swing. to do it once is easy, to do it every time makes you a millionaire.

edit: i meant to say "almost any man." women cant kick as far.

 

We're talking about a fifty yard field goal with a three step approach without a tee which means you have to kick the ball fifty five yards in the air? No you can't.

 

Jesus, martin, no one is saying that she has to make the team, play, or be the Super Bowl MVP someday, nor is anyone saying that we should let every woman on campus try out for the football team. She's clearly one of the most ably bodied females for the endeavor she is undertaking, a rare specimen indeed, and there's no reason why she can't be given a tryout.

I've seen her kick and I can tell you there's no shame in giving her a TRYOUT. Would she have gotten the shot if she was not who she is? Probably not, but there's also no reason why she couldn't end up being LSU's 3rd-5th string kicker who's pretty just there to help the other players practice catching kicks. There are guys like that on the team every year who know they are probably never going to end up on the field but they enjoy being part of the team and helping the team reach their goal. If coach thinks she's capable of being one of those individuals, that is great. If he thinks she's even better than that, that's great. If he think's she's not good enough or that having her around would be a detriment to the team (either through her play or just the distraction of her being there) then that is fine too. If they just stick her in there to let her kick 1 extra point just to say it happened that's fine too. But going on a several page tirade about how she has no business even being in this conversation is just ridiculous.
