Mo Isom to tryout for the LSU Tigers Football team

I pretty much agree with martin on this one. Women simply can't compete with men athletically.

However, I also wanted to make the point that the LSU football team happens to be going through the best stretch of kickers in history. If this woman was trying out for the team during the time of Wade Richey and the others that followed that couldn't hit a 40 yd FG, I think it's possible that a woman could kick a 40 yd FG better than the other kickers on the team.

If Drew Alleman misses a big FG and starts to get the shanks, it's "possible" that a woman could be more accurate with the shorter FGs.

 

right, its also possible every kenyan running the boston marathon next year will have a leg amputated and martin finishes in the top 10. "possible"

Can everyone stop with this nonsense.

 

Kicking the ball is only a part of what a kicker does.

Last time I checked, kickers are still part of the 11-player special teams unit required to help in kick coverage. Albeit, they take their sweet time getting down field after kicking, but if there's a big return, do you HONESTLY believe she will force a return man out of bounds or at least attempt a tackle?

Does anyone expect her not to get absolutely BLOWN UP by a blocker should she be in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Laying out a girl is wrong....any place OTHER than a football field filled with pissed off 200+ lbs. madmen with the sole purpose of destroying the opponent in front of you.

 

incorrect. these fellas were struggling not only because they kinda sucked, but because in game situations, kicking is really hard. and that means it is also hard for women, who are far worse at kicking than the fellas that are struggling.

its also "possible" that some other male who has a howitzer leg and years of experience could kick the 20 yarders. its also possible that thousands of male high school kickers would be more accurate. perhaps because they are kickers and actually know what they are doing. and also because they are far stronger and more athletic. so there is that.

again, girls cant kick. i dunno why this is so hard to accept. sure, they can hit 20 yard field goals on the pratice field. so can i. so can you.

your point is sort of like saying that phil mickelson gets the yips sometimes so i should putt for him.

incidentally, stefan fatsis wrote a book about FG kicking, which i have read. its very hard. women cant do it at a high level.

come on geeing they didn't even show the kicks, how do you know she didn't go 3 for 3 for 40 yards, you don't know if she was short or missed left or right when she tried longer then 40. To put that video up and say theres "no way" she can kick at this level is flat out stupid.

 

A Mett can throw longer than that.

without a doubt, it looks like he threw at least 1 left handed. I am sure he didn't wanta go out and embarrass her or show her up when it's all in fun
