I went out there for yesterday's scrimmage. Dugas will be the 2b and doughty will be the flex. Unfortunately Hughes was at ss and honest Paul gave his assessment prior @ the presser which was pretty brutal. Maybe I can find his quotes. His mouth was definitely going nonstop. Mo certainly looks the part as his build stands out next to the 120 lb Giacomo and Hughes. But Jaden and nick storz are absolute monsters. The new kid trsvinski played some 1b and he has some pop but his glove needs work. The IF had problems getting the ball over wearing out Belosos big butt. 3b Zack Mathis squared up everything even in BP. Juco transfer built awkward sorta like a catcher. Kinda dorky. But he looks at home at the plate so to speak. Hit a bomb and went 2 for 2 and hit another tonight. His exit speeds were way above everyone else. Looks like a 3 hole hitter eventually. Bats from the left side. They call him Zack the hack. Similar to Bregman down at the cages every night all night and overly analytical with his swing. TOP TRACKMAN EXIT SPEEDS FROM TODAY'S SCRIMMAGE: Zack Mathis 107.3 mph Saul Garza 102.7 mph Daniel Cabrera 99.3 mph Drew Bianco 98.8 mph Who can argue.
Guys on other sites predicting 90 homers. It’s gonna be gorilla-ball for sure with maybe 65-70 homers. This team is likely going to Omaha with good pitching and hitting. Not likely we beat Vandy for an SEC title, but what a year for Sports with Football Basketball & Baseball
I gotta say @Rougarou2020 you sure came in with a bang! Just rummaging about like you've been here before! Don't get me wrong, that isn't a bad thing. I for one appreciate confidence. It does however peak the interest of some of our more intelligent posters. (I'm not one of those) Just sayin... Careful big boy, you almost got away with it
