Or kick returner. His height will keep him from being a top CB pick in the NFL.

What intrigues me most about Mo is that he's getting the same serious consideration by the pros, not to mention the postseason awards, as PP7 while getting much less media fanfare than his predecessor did. At least it seems to me.

PP7 was a big deal among the sportswriters last year, Mathieu has taken the spotlight this year, and all the while Mo was in the background doing his thing, extremely well.

Maybe I had my head under a rock, but I was genuinely surprised to find out how high he was on the mock boards, because you hardly ever heard a peep about him. The writers never made a fuss about him the way they did with Peterson, and are doing with Mathieu.

Congrats to him. He's earned it. The D was incredible this year, and he was a big reason why.

Mo came into the season as one of the better known CBs. But like you said, he earned his way to the top by consistently coming up with big interceptions in big games. With the way college football works, Patrick Peterson had so much hype going into his last season that he just had to have a solid season for him to win any awards. Mo actually had more INT's and pass breakups than PP7 did in 2010. Both will be great in the NFL though. It's not often you have great athleticism and great shutdown ability together like those two do.

Both kids have a lot of potential to be stud CBs, but Peterson has more upside. One thing to consider is that last years draft was very strong. This years draft is a bit down in comparison. Mo will do very well in the NFL and is more than deserving of the attention he is receiving.

Mo will go top 10 for sure, but I think the early projections are a bit inflated. That said, LSU will likely have 3-4 first rounders in 2013's draft...all from the defense. Obviously LSU is making a name for producing NFL secondary players, but DL is where it's at. Unreal, sick talent on our DL...and young!

If Sam comes out, we could have another 1st. rounder this year.:tigereye:

The DL is one of the more deeper positions on the team. A couple guys red-shirted from last years class(Johnson and Thomas). Both will have a shot to get into the mix next year. Remember we have Adams as a Sr. and W/O Dennis Johnson leaving this year.

Might miss someone but for next year:

    Brockers
    Mingo
    Downs
    Ego
    Logan
    Aghayere
    Freak
    Edwards
    Maclin
    Allen
    Rasco

These are the guys along the front 4. Thats a ton of talent and speed.

This staff has done a great job replacing talent on the DL.
