    you should.
Manny OWNS the Yanks. Getting him out of the division would be tremendous for NY. Getting him out of the AL is like a dream come true for them.

are they going to broadcast it on the jumbotron?
that's the only way to watch a WS game at Yankee Stadium this year.

yeah I heard about this around 8 last night. I thought for sure it would have been completed this morning. for buster olney to say 1% when hes quite conservative, I guess hes gone.

I just dont know how manny is going to play defense in any other field after leaving that glorified racquetball he plays in boston. he basically never has to play defense or run more than 10 feet.

should be a trip watching him in miami. Im just not sure why the marlins really want him. doesnt really fit into their needs or their non-spending ways.

    he's be a dirt cheap/almost free rental.

Supposedly Manny waived his no-trade clause for the Marlins, as long as they promise NOT to pick up the options for '09 and '10. The Marlins are all but assured to ask Boston to pick up the vast majority of his salary for the rest of the year.
So you get a future Hall of Famer for the pennant race and you give up half a bag of peanuts.

makes sense but what manny do you get? probably a terrible defending moody whackjob that may just decide to sit out the postseason if they make it.

then again, no other team has less to lose than the marlins. they dont really care anyhow. nor the 2 fans they have.

manny is just a perfect fit for boston yet thats not rectifiable anymore. hes pulled a favre.

might be worth the gamble. Gordon Edes (Boston Globe writer) says one of the snags is that Florida was asking Boston to pick up the entire 7 mil remaining for manny's salary this year. The Sox ain't willing to go that far with it.

Fenway looks like it was built with him in mind.

Supposedly the Dodgers are in the mix now.
Dodgers wanting to send Ethier, but Boston wants Kemp.

Who knows what the hell is going to happen.
