well, even if he cant do better than that, itll be good to have a dangerous PH, but i imagine theyll give him a shot next to ortiz
yes he clears waivers and is free to be traded. the whole waiver thing is a way for coaches and gms to secretly find out who is tradeable. once they clear it becomes known publically and to the player, of course.
says a lot about his character and love for the game that he blocked a trade to the defending WS champs to stay on a last place team. no, I do not mean this as a compliment to him, either.
Or he doesn't want to be a mercenary. I have no problem with him blocking the trade. Maybe his family feels at home in SD and doesn't want to move 3,000 miles away. That's why you have a no-trade clause.
I just wanted to add for the record that the Brewers are 5-2 since that 4 game sweep. ESPN is saying they are the best "Done" team in history.
