I don't know if any of you have caught any Dodgers' games lately but the youth movement is on! My new favorite (young guy) is Matt Kemp. This guy is 21 years old and was brought up to the bigs on May 28th all the way from AA. In LA's 17 games since, he started 11 and hit seven home runs. Those 7 HRs in June lead the Major Leagues and he has a hit in each of his 11 starts.

not so much a Met fan as I am a realist....it's what I see

Actually I would love to see the Mets sweep the Yanks in the WS....as a payback for 2000....It could happen....and Pedro gets to beat the Yanks again...how lovely would that be for him?

This just in...The Astros have won 8 of 9. It's exactly what I been telling everyone (not on here, but to people I know) that the Clemens decision would spark a run. It certainly has done that. Watch out, here comes another magical season and wildcard berth. Although this time the division may very well be up for grabs in the end with Pooholes being out.

Pujols is probably tripling his HGH dosage, so he can get back ASAP.

That doesn't matter though. Nobody can stop the 'Stros when they're playing like this. I just hope they don't send Buchholz to Round Rock when the Rocket comes back. I like Nieve, but I think Buchholz could be a #2 starter in a year or two.

The other exciting component to the Astros winning formula is the back end of the bullpen. The big 3 (Wheeler, Qualls, Lidge) have all turned it around in the past 3-4 weeks. It's time to get excited once again. Third year in a row. I gotta admit had Rocket said he wasn't returning, I would have given up on the season.

Surprise surprise, the Braves' bullpen blows another one. John Smoltz now leads the majors in # of games left with a lead, and get a no-decision.

even if the braves were not terrible, which they are, they could never catch the metropolitans.

thomas glavine picked up win #285. he will cruise to 300 early next season if he stays in queens.

i am predicting that by the end of the season, the cuban alay soler will be established as the number 3 and will own the playoffs.

Astros take a huge step backwards with an embarrassing display of baseball against the Royals, dropping 2 of 3. I am absolutely speechless.

Hopefully this a wakeup call to Mr. PooPooRah. Maybe just maybe he goes out and gets someone significant to fit into this lineup. Don't waste Clemen's last hoorah. That would be just plain stupid.

So you're saying that this kid will come out of nowhere and surpass the other starters in the Mets rotation. So basically we will be witnessing a Soler Eclipse.
