i didn't see that specific play, but I have watched the Padres a few times, and the dude can't throw out anything or anyone...

Why he didn't sign to become a DH in the offseason baffles me

i dunno, if you calculate his runs gained by his offense minus runs lost due to people running wild on him, i doubt he is very bad. he leads all catchers in HR and is batting .303.

but he can still have the same amount of HRs, and probably bat higher than .303 if he didnt have the wear and tear on his body that he has playing catcher

ah, how sweet it is to watch the Braves, and to be able to not worry to no end about the 8th and 9th innings

only in the national league can a team 6 games under .500 aspire for the postseason.

ESPN reporting that the Sox are trying to acquire Javy Lopez from Baltimore.

This may be just what they need to offset the loss of Varitek. If this does happen, they would have 2 guys on the roster named Javier Lopez. How often has that happened before.(2 guys with the same name on the same roster)

I'm pretty sure there have been teams with more that one Willie Davis or something like that.

ok...anyone that argues that Papi is not the MVP this year is an idiot. He again saved the BoSox with a HR in the 8th. and KorPappelbon is a solid Cy Young candidate with his unbelievable .049 ERA.......unreal

looks like Utley's streak may be done. He's 0-5 with 1 out in the ninth. He's the sixth guy due up from here.
