    Re: MVPapi

Papelbon and Papi are keeping the Red Sox in it but they'll be playing for the wild card before it's over. Yanks lost Matsui, Sheffield and Cano and are only a half game out with only 2 reliable starters. Enter Abreu and some consistency from Unit and Wright and the Yanks will not be denied.

the mets have made a couple trades, trading xavier nady for a couple dudes and messing looking around for relief, because their setup man duaner sanchez was lost yesterday, not in a trade, but a cab accident. that sucks.

second met pitcher injured in a taxi in the last few years. damnit!

they got perez and hernandez to use to get linebrink, who is an excellent setup guy.

espn said its a done deal pending the commish approval like any trade.

correction: heath bell and perez not hernandez.

linebrink could close for many clubs. hes like scot shields but was struggling the last couple weeks.

I know its not funny but the first thing I thought of is that this sounded like some stunt from Seinfeld.
I must have Seinfeld on the brain?

    looks like it didnt happen.

yeah really it is nuts, why cant mets pitchers get a safe cab ride? this one wasnt even the fault of a crazy new york cabby, it happened in miami, i think sanchez was in florida to visit morty seinfeld.

Having a terrible season pitching for your mlb team? Well then come and join us. We'd love to have you along! Just go out and do your best, even if your best sucks. We like trying to score lots of runs to win games!

That's right Mr. Sosa, you are welcome here in St. Louis! If we have the lead in a close game, we'd love to bring you in for relief. No worries though, you can stink it up. We just want you to make things more interesting and inspire the guys to score more runs late in games!
