Actually, I said he wouldn't be back soon. And possibly not at all this year. I never said he likely wouldn't be back. Matsui did say he'd be back in August, but he also said that was his mind speaking and not his wrist.

 

looks like you said he may not be back all year to me. either way, august is considered soon by him and his team since he was expected to miss all year initially.

not that i care, i hope both the sox and yanks go in the tank.

Yep. Jumped on the bandwagon in '86 as a youngster, and haven't fallen off it since.(minus about a 3 or 4 year stretch after the strike)

 

Ahhh, that's more like it. 6-1 'cards in the bottom of the 5th w/bases loaded. Anyone been watching this game? Just getting in and missed the first four and a half innings.

 

So nice to see Carpenter tonight, after the two beatdowns the last couple of nights! To make it even sweeter, he just got a rbi single! 8-1 good guys.

8-3 win tonight for the Cardinals. I must say, it was not amusing seeing the Braves load the bases in the 9th! Would have been nice to see Isringhausen get the night off. Oh well, he only made two pitches anyways.
