NESN broadcasts the Sox games w/Don Orsillo (play-by-play) and Jerry Remy (color) as well as Tina Cervasio :thumb: in Fenway. Don and Jerry are pretty funny. Have to catch a game with them broadcasting.

Thanks to wonderful invention knownas DirecTV and the MLB extra innings package, I do just that on a regular basis. Unfortunately though sometimes we're stuck with the opponents TV crew.

Quick question about the MLB package, why are some games not available? I have a couple of guys from the Angels on my fantasy squad, but quite often their ame isn't carried down here.

due to stupid copyright laws they blackout many games such as houston and the rangers since they are considered the teams closest and/or teams we are assumed to pull for I guess since atlanta is closer than the rangers yet they are not blacked out.

also on weekends like saturday now that fox broadcasts them they will have the rights to seemingly all the early games therefore blacked out on the extra innings, except the local fox in your area. fs southwest is considered our local affiliate.

so it depends who the angels are playing and who is considered your local team/fox affilliate i think.

Sometimes when the rangers are blacked out on MLB package, they are on FSSW. It just seems like sometimes a game between two west coast teams gets blacked-out here, and I have no idea why.

yes the rangers will be blacked out on mlb but shown locally since fssw carries it locally. great thinking by baseball, im sure blacking out the astros and rangers in louisiana is gonna help attendance since we all rush to the park if we cant view it.

sometimes you wonder how the people in charge got there.

The Astros and Rangers blackout actually extends to El Paso. If you left work at 5:00 in El Paso to catch a 'Stros game, you would make it to Minute Maid Park at about 3:00 am (which would still be two days before they bother scoring a run.)

There are countless examples of this bassackwards thinking from MLB too. I have no idea what they're thinking. I guess Bud's attention is more focused on how he can still encourage HGH while trying to appear tough on drugs.

Texas and Houston don't bother me much, I prefer to watch the Red Sox or the Angels. Also, I never pass up the oppurtunity to watch Ichiro hit. But for the most part, I surf through games all evening. I'll start following a pitcher if he gets hot, or I'll keep up with a hitting streak.

Tonight the Sox just tied the AL record of consecutive errorless games at 15. They tied the Texas Rangers who set that mark in Aug '96. The Cardinals set the NL and MLB record of 16 consecutive errorless games in July/Aug '92.

Hopefully they will break the AL record tomorrow and break the MLB record on Friday at Florida.

thats because the range of most of their fielders is negative. they get to about 1/10th of the balls better defensive clubs do minus alex gonzalez. hes decent. that would be a farce if they break the record compared to the cards teams of the past.
