The Braves are embarrassing. Stick a fork in them. Meanwhile the Stros still have a shot when Clemens and a healthy Backe returns. Dropping 2 out of 3 didn't look good this weekend. StL is still winning w/o Pujols. Maybe the NL West will just beat each other up and Stros pull out another WC if they can't catch the redbirds.

    Stay tuned...

LaRussa leaves Jason Marquis out to dry, letting him give up 12 earned runs before yanking him after 4 innings of play....you think dude was pissed?

ouch how about lit-up lidge giving up the 2-out-in-the-9th salami to iguchi!

that must suck to be a fan of national league teams not called the metropolitans.

I think the Red Sox - Mets series will be be very good. Sox are playing just as good. Time to flex that American League muscle.

    Tues: Lester - Soler
    Wed: Beckett - Pedro
    Thurs: Schilling - Glavine

Big Papi has been tearing up again and Papelbon is just putting up some insane numbers (.024 ERA 23/24 Saves).

BTW...Pap was born here in Baton Rouge, his mother played softball at LSU and I hope he wins the AL ROY and leads the Sox as far as possible.

well, Charlie Sheen..er, I mean Papelbon blew one today, but Papi saved the Sox again. Giambi is 2/3 with two HR and 5 RBIs tonight after 4 innings. AL is putting up some crazy numbers this year...look for another AL WS champion

aww man, cheer up. your braves arent that bad. at least they are better than florida.... ok bad example.

i have been disapponted with the performance of the national league in interleague games. everyone except the mets and the rockies has sucked. whatsup with that?

i would be stunned if the mets dont take two of 3. i cant wait.

you're outmatched pitching-wise in all 3. im expecting 1 of 3 for the mets, maybe pedro's outing. you could be swept if your bats are quieted a bit.

The game should have never been that close. Wake should have picked up the win, but that's baseball. Bases loaded in the 11th and only 1 out and didn't score. That hurt. Youkilis' last AB was key today, way to come through w/that 2 out RBI. Tough break for Pap giving up his 1st HR and blowing his 2nd save. He got behind in the count to the first several batters. He still has an ERA of .046, not too bad.
That's the 3rd sweep in a row. Sox looking to join the NL.

That was Papi's 13th walk-off hit w/ the Sox, including 8 of them for HRs.

Kinda hard to see Pedro pitching in Fenway and not wearing the red. Theo should have made an exception to his "rule" of not giving a contract over 3 yrs when dealing w/Pedro. Bring on the Muts!
