In related news, the Houston Astros have resigned Brad Ausmus to a one year deal reportedly worth $113,000 and first dibs on a used Rolex if he hits above the Mendoza line.

    Phuck!

dude's not amazing. but he is a serviceable backup catcher.

Most backup catchers go 0-4 with 4 K's and are marginal defensive players.

He at least is a good defensive catcher.

    It was a joke.

I am pissed and hope Drayton McClain expires. I think.

Smoltz should be a good signing.
Not sure how he'll fit into the regular rotation.

Baldelli must be insure for the inevitable vag pull that Drew will suffer during the regular season

i am torn about this Smoltz thing.

Emotion tells me that I want to hope for him to be injured in spring training so he can just retire.

But I can see why he left the Braves as they are a sinking ship as long as that phuck-wad Wren is the GM.

(you Astros who whine about your GM need to look at Frank Wren's resume).

So I am still torn on this one.

I really hope this works out for him and he gets another ring
