    Look for Maddon to pull Kazmir in the 5th if he has to.

    63 pitches thus far. On pace for 84 going into the 5th. The bullpen will be getting warmed up then. Maddon will have a short leash.

    you sure? seems like all day yesterday theu were talking about him being the youngest to get to 5 (seems like they would have mentioned 6)

    and hes only got 1 tonight (so far)

    If Kaz can get them 5 good innings and win tonite, that would be big going into the Phillies series.

    I would like to see Shields and Garza at home to open up against the Phillies.

    Then throw Kaz on the road, where he has fared well this season.

    so, is this Tek's last game in a Red Sox uni?

    still great at working a pitching staff, but his numbers at the plate ain't exactly up to par for an everyday starter.

    Kaz has 83 pitches going into the 5th.

    Looks like he will barely hold on to get the W with the minimum 5 IP. Would be nice for his confidence.

    maddon needs to get his big 3 in the bullpen each an inning tonite

    otherwise it will be 10 days between appearances
