I know Yuk is a great hitter. But he should have been bunting imo. You need 1 run, not 3-4. And you up against a stud of a closer. take the 1 run while you can.
don't know man. if that one gets through the infield, a run scores. because you have that stud closer, you don't want to "give" him any outs. D
I fail to believe you would give up that soon on a prime chance to go up 2-0 on a ballclub many consider the best in all of the majors coming into these playoffs.
give up? They used their best set up men and then my scenario had them using their closer, too. I think Wakefield would be a great reliever to follow Papelbon, beause it's such a switch.
well clair is correct you bunt him over in that situation since he is such a tough guy to get a hit on. you may be better off bunting and then hitting a weak grounder or sac fly to score on him. nevertheless, yuk probably hasn't bunted once this season, so that was not an option
call me stupid, but I don't give up on the Cubs yet. I think they will win tomorrow with Harden. I know it's a long shot. But of all the 2-0's, they got the best shot imo.
I agree the Cubs are the team most likely to mount a comeback. The Brewers are done. Bush should get lit up tomorrow. The Angels are done. They can't beat the Red Sox. The White Sox came in stumbling. They'll leave in the same condition.
