no doubt Reminds me of the Astros vs the White Sox in the WS in which Wheeler came in the 7th in that game, in which all year long he was the 8th inning setup man. Qualls had just come off a dominating NLCS vs the Cardinals and was our 7th inning guy. That backfired as well as Wheeler gave up a granny to Konerko.
he's an outstanding manager, no doubt but he clearly underestimated what a big hit by Papi would mean in this game.....Howell was ready in the pen...Balfour just throwing just fastballs to Big Papi was not what was called for in that situation
