aw, but bless him, he has sooo mch heart. :hihi: Sports Fact: Players that are defined by heart - A. Suck or B. Are small. C. Both
No, he probably isn't worth 9M a year. But For some reason this board loves to attack him whenever possible. I don't understand it. You just need to come to terms with the fact that the Astros have the worst farm system in the majors and are going nowhere (Adam Everett?! Brad Ausmus?!), the Mets are the "Michigan" of the Majors (Always near the top, but can't quite get "there"), and the Cards have now won 10 World Series titles. I'd love to have Eck leading off for another year or two until Colby Rasmus takes over for the next decade. I'm glad we're all Tiger fans or I might just "loose" it. :hihi: :geaux:
Eckstein is one of the worst leadoff hitters ever to play the game. Poor OBP, doesn't steal bases, etc. He should have batted 8th entire career in the NL (9th in the AL).
I am out numbered... I give up. Congratulations. Eck is a horrible player that should not have a spot on a roster. Game Over.:bncry:
Thank God. True, he definitely doesn't deserve a spot on the roster, arguably could be a hutility man for about a half dozen crappy clubs, I would give you that. Here's a hanky.
