I guess the Stros have no other option at this point. I can't believe I yearn for the days of a .255 hitting Brad Ausmus with 39 RBIs season avg. In a little over a month of play, Towles is 5 for 60, with, 2 runs, 3 RBIs, 5 BBs, 17 Ks, .083 avg, .154 OBP, .108 SLB Them's pitcher's type numbers for sure 2 automatic outs in the bottom of the order is not good.
Ausmus is like getting your slugger back from the DL, when he plays for Towles. Our farm system has failed at the catcher position, thats a given.
nootch this is not a good way to celebrate mannys 500th.
500 came last night off of Chad Bradford 501 came earlier today off Brian Burres
It turns out the hype may have been justified. Bruce, through less than a week of play, has 2 homeruns (one of which was a walk-off), 2 stolen bases, and is hitting around .600.
I didn't get home in time to see it, but the Red Sox andRays cleared the benches in the 2nd inning today. Last night, Coco slid in hard to the 2nd baseman during a steal attempt. Today, James Shields threw at him. Still looking for a replay. Jacoby strained his wrist today. X-Rays were negative.
i figured he wasnt being himself, just wanted to say that. any update yet? sounds like the game has been quite interesting.
