Idk, initially I thought this would keep him at OU for another year to get some distance from it but there is no way he can play another down for them. With the draft being so far away it's possible enough damage control can be done to get him on a squad. PR nightmare for whomever drafts him though. Attorneys doing what is right for their client,,,i can understand. However, their long process of fighting this likely did more harm than good in the long term. Had the video been released like it did with the Deandre Johnson incident or shortly after the incident instead of a year plus, we wouldn't be talking about it and most would forget it ever happened. NFL teams would know about it but wouldn't be fresh and he would have plenty of time frame to show he is on the right path. Releasing it now means he is back to square one in the court of public opinion no matter what he has done to get himself right if he is doing that.

No amount of time in terms of distance from the event will stop the media from showing the Mixon video ad nauseum everytime he's brought up as a possible selection during the Draft broadcast. That's a huge nightmare for any team. He'll go in the mid to late rounds at best due to this. Rightfully so.
