34-17 Tigas. 2ndary locks down MSU receivers in man coverage, DEs and LB keep Dak in check. On offense, let them load the box and hit them over the top. Like Tiga pointed out, they are abysmal at stopping the deep ball. just air it out until they are forced into deep coverage, then in walks the stable of backs. ballgame.
Does anybody think Moo U is any tougher an opponent than Whisky was? I know we are all SEC bias, but I think its about the same team. Moo U has a little better passing game but with our secondary I'm not too worried. We are playing better than we did against Whisky, so while it may not be a walk in the park, we should handle them, IF we show up to play. You know how our Tigers are!!
Would be nice for a 3rd consecutive shutout, but don't see it happening. I think they get a TD and 3 FG's and LSU scores a defensive or special teams TD and 3 offensive with 2 FG's. MSST - 16 LSU - 34
Hope you're right, but I see the OL and the DL possibly struggling in this one. Dural will draw heavy coverage and like everyone else State will stack the box. The OL needs to take a big step forward, a second WR needs to answer the call and Jennings will have to find the ability to get the ball to the 2nd or 3rd option. On defense the D line needs to make more plays and the LB's need to fill their gaps.
Agree, the safeties come into play here. Safeties will have to help the CBs, cause they can't stay with the LSU WRs.
The good news is I'm currently watching Inside LSU Football. Looks like it was filmed Saturday night after the game. The bad news is that I'm having to listen to Hawthorne's voice on the highlights.
