This is what pisses me off, and maybe I'm wrong but it sure seems this way; someone let me know if they see the same thing. If other teams are playing and a higher ranked team is down late in the game they (world wide leader) will throw up the **upset alert** on the crawler. If LSU goes down by 3 midway through the 1st freaking quarter you can bet your ass you will see it before the next commercial break. Assholes.
Well SEC play says different for Mississippi State. While they look good against inferior opponents on their OCC sched, and the occasional victory over Arkansas or Ole Miss in their down years, Mullen has NOT shown any ability to compete in the SEC. Every year people try to buy into this program, and every year they fall very flat. They certainly aren't as bad as pre-Mullen, but they are not ready for the big dogs either. Let's see what they do Saturday night. If the game isn't close, it's the same ole same ole for Mullen. And he'll probably be gone after this year if he can't get over the hump and win at least 3 games in the SEC.
MSU is the trendy pick and they do scare me on defense. I worry about our ability to run on them. Hopefully Jennings has his confidence and accuracy because I think he has to win this one for us. Of course, Cam will have a big role too.
I had lunch with a former Miss St player and current supporter a few days ago. He made the same remark about coaches and their careers at Miss St. Izzy, Your remarks about Mullens being able to beat the teams they are supposed to is spot on. He has maybe 2 wins against ranked opponents or upper-echelon SEC teams. I'm not buying until State starts beating good teams.
