if it is a newer rear wheel drive vehicle then the rear wheel bearings will likely be sealed. Glad you are OK Salty your family's safety is the important thing.

I talked to Allstate and they said it would be covered under comp...$100 deductable will get me new carpet and a complete overhaul of the engine and drivetrain...why not? We're trying to keep her truck until she graduates from school. Having everything looked at will ensure it keeps running for at least one more semester. Blessing in disguise?! The weather is supposed to get crappy again in an hour or so. Looks like it'll be a long night. A lot of peaple are suffering up here right now. Houses flooded, houses destroyed, lots and lots of damage...keep them in your prayers.
Fellas, DO NOT wade on flooded streets, especially the ones with underground storm drains. The drains get full and knock the manhole covers off. Step in one of those and they will find you downstream next week.

Worst flash flooding I have ever seen in Shreveport. I work for the city and was called in to work last night. It was a crazy mess. The rain predicted for today hasn't materialized so it is starting to dry out, thank goodness.
