I was at the game, so I can't say for sure how often they played, but I did see them out there quite a bit and they each made a few big plays.

I'll have to rewatch the game at some point, but I thought they both looked great from the stands. Montgomery had a sack and Mingo had a TFL and a fumble recovery.

Many young players played well last night, Mingo and Montgomery included.

:geaux: Both did play a lot & played well. So did a lot of other young players, which will benefit us down the road. Tyrann Mathieu & Eric Reid played and I think I heard Tharold Simon's name mentioned as well. :LSU231:

Even though Nevis was the biggest force on the DL, Montgomery probably had the best night of the DL in terms of tackles, sacks, TFL, etc.. And Matthieu had 9 tackles, just one behind Kelvin Sheppard.

Mingo just cannot make it around the high-quality OTs. Still too light. I watched him last night and he was bustin' his azz, but they were just pushing him around the pocket.

Thanks, I saw Mingo make a few stops on running plays so I thought that was encouraging. From the end zone though I couldn't really tell how well he or Montgomery were playing. I was just happy to have them out there.

From what I can tell, they were flying around. Hope KeKe can pack on a few poundsn and fill out a bit.

That's not a good thing. CBs shouldn't be leading in tackles.

To me Mingo is too small to be playing end. He should be an inside linebacker.
