Hope so! Col, How do you guys see Nutt? An upgrade? I think so. But he sure created divisions at Arky, the fiasco with Mahlzan and Mustain, employing his brother, fans felt it was too much of a good ole boy setup and Broyles would not hold them accountable. What's your take on Nutt?
I think they made a good choice...I can't picture a long list of potential coaches with a good resume' applying for the job. If he truely has been stepping out on his wife, that's between him and God. But this is what I really think happened... 1) I think that when he coached the Hogs to the victory over LSU, he knew he was being offered the HC at OM. He could take any risks he needed to. 2) About two weeks before O lost to MSU, he was publicly assured he would remain the OM coach barring something like HIM being arrested for a crime. Then the pillow/clock incident. 3) Freaky Friday -- OM lost to MSU, LSU lost to Ark..... 4) Sat.---OM dismisses O. 5) Sun. OM announces Nutt as the new coach at OM......AFTER AN EXTENSIVE SEARCH-------BS. This was a done deal as Ark played LSU. 6) Are you going to tell me OM only needed 24 hrs to do an "extensive search?" Did OM only need 24 hrs to decide that they could raise the HC salary by a million dollars? How could they be assured that they could pay that salary? I'm a country boy and I know when I step in BS and I know what it smells like. However, I think they did the best thing available....just knock off the BS about how hard WE worked in the last 24 hrs....Boone has proven to be a liar and he is the one who needs to go....IMO.:geaux:
