I think alot of people hear agree that there has been something going on between these 2 when it comes to the direction of the offense.

    Either Miles is hampering Crowton

    or

Crowton is out of control and Miles is doing nothing.

If its the 2nd then they both need to be gone IMO.

BUT if its the 1st then it might be time for Crowton to step up and throw Miles under the bus..because I can see Crowton taking the fall for this season and being without a job in January!!!

I don't think its 1. I think it is 2 based on Crowton's track record of never having long term success anywhere.

What has me baffled is if Crowton called those three passes when we had the ball first and freaking ten on the 30 with 2 time outs and a minute left why the hell didn't Miles override him three times.

We just snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think if crowton had full control of this offense, RR would have caught his first touchdow by week 2, and this offense would be avg about 37 or 38 points per game.

The personel he is allowed to use is limited because of Miles old school approach to playing young players.

Really? Crowton is also the QB coach. JJ is having problems calling the right plays, picking up a blitz, reading the playclock, staying in the pocket, throwing the ball away, etc.

Crowton can't even do the job he has, and now you want him to have full control?

First off your opinion of JJ is way offbase, and second, I said have full controll of the offense. Not be the head coach.

For the time being it doesn't matter. Even if it is 1, Miles ain't going nowhere for at least the next couple of years. If we see anything different, it'll be Crowton getting thrown under the bus. In which case we'll have to wait until next season to find out whether it's 1 or 2. I personally think it's 2 for one reason: who here believes Miles called for 2 consecutive fade passes during a 2-pt conversion?

If you believe this, you must not have been watching LSU this year. I will, however, allow for the fact that he has improved as the season has progressed.

i used to think miles was reigning guys in even when jimbo was here but the more and more i talk to people i think miles has about 0% to do with defensive playcalling and about 5% on offense.

there's just no way miles would be throwing as much as we have over the last two years with the QB performances we have had.

and after today, i doubt miles even knows what plays we run, seriously.

i don't think he micro manages very much.

    so no, i don't think it's #1.

He is completeing 60% of his passes. TD to INT ratio is greta, Makes big plays when they allow him too, has greatly improved. We saw what happens when he cant play.

He is far from perfect, but is easliy in the top half of the SEC in QB's.

Hell his stats are pretty damn close to Tebows. And he is a damn Sophomore.

ANd he has little running game and a horrible offensive line to help him.

IMO he has been the one that gave us a chance to win these games. He has never lost us one.

I dont think you can ask more of him.

    how am i off base?
    1. how many sacks did JJ have tonight? all year? How many of those sacks are because he is in the wrong position? How many times has JJ run right into a blitz? Sack on 2nd down at the end of the game was because he did not know where to go.

    2. How many delay of games calls did we get this game? All year? Shouldn't a QB know to look at the play clock and either call a timeout or get the play run before it runs out?

    3. How many times does JJ take a sack because he is holding onto the ball too long? He finally started throwing the ball away this game.

    4. He runs/calls the wrong play. Go watch the play where KW got hurt. Either he or KW did not know what the play was. They were lost. KW because one of them was not ready for that play. I doubt it was KW.

    5. Look at the Option calls (i hate them) apparently JJ does too because he runs them like he has never seen an option before.

The QB coach needs to get the QB ready for the game. JJ is not ready. Hell Crowton was the QB coach last year. How did his coaching work for JLee. I am not trying to excuse Miles, but atm Crowton is the problem.
