Les flatly stated that he would be the head coach at LSU next year. After seeing what an overt public lie can do to one's credibility regarding the Nick situation last year, I just don't see Les backing out of a damn good package with a damn good football program in a damn good situation. He's not going to make a liar out of himself. Nick never could resist the hard sell, but I think Les can.

    Desperation is a bitter stench.

Well, it was getting a little boring around here and with the game 27 days away, I guess we needed some random fodder to spice things up.

I heard the Segment on ESPN Radio this morning, and Greenberg was focusing on the "what..if..."scenario. His point was that it would beal really Saban-like to sign a neal Deal w/ LSU and then leave that same year to UM, regardless of the "out clause".

One would think that CLM's Agent would be smart emough to know that if CLM signed a new extension and then left to go to UM before the ink had dried that he would be seen a a huge 2-timer/liar......

For some reason, I'm not interested in getting this stirred up again. As I stated in a previous post, if he leaves after we win the championship (and his salary is set to jump to $3.5 mill) he's an idiot.

I understand the allure of Michigan, but he gave us his word AND he signed a new contract (or rework of current contract).

All I want is the crystal. The record books will say LSU was NC in '07 if we win on Jan 7th.

I love CLM as our coach, but I can't make him stay at LSU.

Couldnt agree more. The fact is if Miles is that in love with Michigan, he needs to go. LSU has shown him favor and shown him that he is wanted in BR. He has the chance to really do something special here. Turn this team into a dynasty with a few NC appearences in the next 5 years. So if he leaves he will be an idiot. :geaux:

Of course he is. When you have absolutely no credible information all you can do is come up with hypotheticals. CLM talked to Michigan, that does not mean CLM is "talking" to Michigan. But the "talking" heads will make a story out of it.

No coach wants to be like Saban. Les is going to accept a call from Michigan's President and AD out of courtesy since he is a UM alumn. I don't think the writer of this story has credibility. The story broke around 10:30pm last night and is still not listed on CNN, ESPN or Rivals. My guess is the President and AD asked CLM advice on where they go from here and politely apologized for how things have been handled. And then slipped in a casual "We will pay you whatever you want to come home so we can get all these hounds off our backs. We don't care what Lloyd Carr wants or thinks." The timing is not good this time around for Les to go home. I think if the next hire is not successful then Les will go home in 4 or 5 years.

I think these "idiots" have nothing better to talk about; looks like they love to thrive on speculative talk.

I don't see anything wrong with Miles picking up the phone when Micheegan calls. Does any "talk" = guilt? He has got to show some class with courtesy. On the other hand would he want to go to Michigan at this stage with Carr as the assistant AD?

I bet the predominant LSU faithful will believe that Miles is staying.
