I was just watching College Football Live today(11/5/09). When the commentator asked Miles how Russell Shepard would be utilized in Saturday's game vs. Bama, he responded by saying "We would like to have him catch it, run it, and throw it."

So, I guess it is confirmed. Russell Shepard will more than likely throw the ball Saturday. It's about time. He's too talented not to be utilized in every area possible.

This statement by Miles still doesn't have me convinced that he will actually throw the ball on Saturday.
I would say there's about a 50/50 chance that Shepard throws the ball on Saturday against Bama.

Even if he doesn't actually throw the ball, having offensive schemes that present that option is a good thing. The more we have offensive formations with him in them the more opportunities we have to do something special against that Bama defense.

That was the same thought I was having. Have formations with that appearance, and having formations with RS at other positions also, will hopefully cause some confussion for the Bama defense. Hopefully we are going to see some of the plays that many of us were dreaming about we would see when he signed to be a Tiger.

If you think Shep might throw the ball changes the Wild Tiger!

We need Shep to do what he can to change the flow of the game.

I would just love to see him catch a dump pass in space and see what he does!!!!

    Beat Bama:tigereye:

It would be a bold move. Scares me too.

In 2007 Florida game if I kknew before the game they were going to run the ball 5 times on 4th down it wolud have made me more than a little nervous.
