Who gives a fuck where the defense finished. The team finished a bleak and dismal 4th in the West and I'm pretty sure that 2nd in the West is padded from all the patsies LSU played. Boy Les sure can win the LA Tech and Western Kentucky games can't he.

But in scoring defense we finished 5th in the SECW, and scoring is really what it all boils down to.

Looks like its not the pay, but making Coordinator choices that are killing LSU (of course Miles meddling is a big factor)

    James Moran @SmartestMoran

#LSU DC Kevin Steele checked in at No. 9 on the list. Only school in the nation to pay both coordinators at least $1 million

No, Miles should have hired Coach O as DC. Plain and simple.

ANd retired Cameron, then went after Meachum at TCU.

Well, to be fair, we don't know that for sure. Everyone with an opinion thought BH would be better than AJ. He was, but only marginally. Not sure that in reality O would be better than Steele. Maybe.

Harris also saw more action as a freshman than Jennings did as a freshman. I think he was more prepared to be a starter in his soph year than Jennings was in his soph year. Not to mention, Harris had a much better Fournette, a much better Dupre, better D line play as well too. I'm not sure Jennings would have been any worse than Harris would have been this year, they are very similar. If it's not a deep ball, it's an incompletion.
