Who cares if he said it? The injuries on the o line and to Blue took any statement made preseason out of play.
Are you saying that Hurst and Williford were gone by game 3?? FYI, ANY coach when describing potential talent at a position, includes depth in the discusiion............in your explanation you are not.
The only issue is that he never said it. There was plenty of talk about the LSU offense improving and Miles said the passing game would be much improved, but I don't recall anyone ever making claims that this would be the best LSU offense since Miles arrived. Even if the O-Line stayed healthy there was little chance of this happening until the receivers have proven that they don't drop catchable balls.
That wasn't the original statement that you said no to, you don't even know what you are arguing about!
Yeah, I missed the word "line". My mind was on the title of the thread. I don't recall any comments specific to the O-line prior to the season starting...
I do, but it was preseason. I know he made similar statements a few years back. The oline under performed early missing one starter, but really jelled towards the end. My piont in the entire thread is that statements of any kind about how good any part of the team is going to be are meaningless. Like preseason polls it's wild speculation. Plus anything Miles says about the offense should be taken with a large grain of salt. On paper it looks like the O should be improved. Much of that depends on the OL which wasn't great at any time during the season. Depth there concerns me, it's not every year you can plug a couple freshmen in and expect to have success, much less improvement like this year. Surely we will be better at WR, but again just speculation. LSU has been extremely talented on the offensive side every year Miles has been here, the results have varied greatly.
And you will be sucking Les' nuts and spinning the facts swearing it is indeed his best offense ever. So nothing will be different after all.
